Spot on as usual, CL. I saw a law enforcement video of a bad guy getting hit with five, 223 rounds and still fighting, same with a magazine of 9mm. I like to carry a 10mm but kinda hard to hide! Bad guys get real discouraged with one hit from your AR-10. Wonder if folks understand the difference in stopping power of a larger caliber?

Try a Glock 29 10mm. I carry a G30 myself and the 10 on occasion. Believe it or not, the 10 and 40 are about the same muzzle energy as the 10 is over bored and a lot of powder is burned outside of the barrel, which is why it has such muzzle flash. As a hand loader I've found I can load the .40 S&W very close to the same velocities as the 10mm. 10MM Glock 20 4.60" barrel Nosler 135 Grain JHP Remington 2 1/2 primer powder: IMR 800x 14.5 grains 1554 FPS vs 40 S&W same bullet: 40 S&W Glock 22 Gen 3 4.49 (4 1/2") Wilson Combat Barrel 40 S&W Nosler 135 Grain JHP 1.11 Sellier & Bellot SPM Hodgdon Long Shot 12 grains 1529 FPS If the barrel length had been the same I suspect the .40 S&W would have been the same velocity. As we all know the situations here in Nashville are tragic in the extreme. We need to look deeply into the background of this shooter, the transgender movement and the churches themselves. There is a great deal there to find. Angry, abused and drugged people act out in unpredictable ways. Protecting our children means being intelligent and aware. Allowing our society to become this crazy and insane invites further attacks and slaughter of the innocent.
Looking into the background may turn up something important and looking at the transgender movement as well as the churches may give us some insight. BUT can we stop these tragedies from occurring by keeping gun free zones and rely on 15 minute response times by the local law enforcement? Where I live 15 minutes is doable, but the outlying area can be as much as a half hour! I'm CONVINCED that a WELL REGULATED MILITIA BEING NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE is a MAJOR answer. Do they have school shootings in Israel anymore? WHY NOT? Because the TEACHERS are armed and trained and most of the country is armed and trained. They go to the BEACH carrying AR 15's! AND the SSRI connection to this insanity can't be kept hidden any longer. ANYONE on them should be monitored closely, and I mean CLOSELY for at least 6 months. In the case Dr. Breggin speaks of the man only had TWO doses of Paxil!
I hope you're not insinuating that I'm for "more gubmint". To the contrary. I want LESS control by the psychopaths running the show. And more control put into the hands of the people via the 2nd amendments Militia provisions. Moral integrity can be subjective to circumstances. And as for "mental fortitude", I guess I would need more of an explanation to understand what you are trying to convey.
I'm referring to the steady moral decline of America's social fabric and the lack of will overall. Both fomented by social engineering, early on with radio and television, now with the internet - to name the largest vectors. It's part of the human experience, these declines, as evidenced by the Old Testament for example. We can easily trace our current predicament back a hundred years. But in any case it was failure to resist evil and tyranny, so here we are.
It's not social media. It's anti social media. It used to be that a car club was a club where folks got together and had car shows. Now they claim a car show is a bunch of pictures on the internet. Fascistbook has had a major impact on car clubs actual decline. And when I go to the gym these days, everyone (almost) has ear buds listening to who knows what, won't talk, won't help and if they aren't blocking the use of a machine while they play on their phones...You are ABSOLUTELY correct.
