These so-called "gun control laws" are not really about guns, per se, they are about controlling and restricting the MAJORITY of gun owners who are responsible and do not misuse those forms of tools, be they for self protection or sporting purposes! We have many laws against operating cars and trucks while under the influence of various kinds of chemicals, but people still do it anyway. We have many laws about stealing and injuring others, but people still do it anyway. So laws are NOT going to do much to curtail crimes being committed, they just give the 100% corrupted legal system/Matrix an avenue to punish people! HOW can these men and women legislators who are supposed to be smarter than the average man or woman on the street, not see this simple truth? Are they really not any smarter than the rest of us? Yes, that is exactly the case! They do not have any real and workable answers to even just one of society's ills, all that they know about is clamping down on people and ruining their life if they disagree with the ruling elites!
So it's not really a vacuum of logic, it is only a deliberate attempt to take away the means for fighting against tyranny!!
Gun control groups and their captured legislators fully understand that their anti-gun laws do not work. They know that the sickos and criminals do not obey them. These "common sense" laws are meant to infringe on the natural right of self defense (especially against tyrannical government) guaranteed by the Second Amendment. First there are the various restrictions imposed, excessive punitive taxation, etc. Next come licensing (permits to buy, carry), and, most importantly, registrations of guns and their owners. And, don't forget the banning of certain types of firearms and other weapons.. All this leads to the ultimate goal of confiscation. Confiscation of guns, historically, leads to other repressive actions by Marxist totalitarian regimes. If gun owners do not vigorously stand up against these laws, their right to keep and bear arms will be eliminated. Freedom lost is never regained. Stand up, protest, resist, do not comply. The liberty and life you protect is yours.
