Lovely, inspiring metaphors. Beautiful melody and voice. New to me. Thank you for sharing, CL.

Not in my case. Hos mother was an alky

No sibling love between his mom. Her sister and brother never got along.

All were drunks. Parents were strict

He became his mother.

I think Elsie is saying the sentiments in the lyrics are contrary to her marital journey, as her husband’s family were dysfunctional or alcoholic or both.

OK…that makes sense. Sad…I was just telling my wife of 47 years that I’ve been with for 50, that I’m a lucky guy to have had her on my voyage. She stuck with me through thick and thin and home birthed four sons that were all home schooled. Our Journey together started in North Miami Florida where I met her at Miami Dade Community College. We lived in a friends house for a while, went to a small efficiency, to a duplex where our first son was born on a shower curtain laid on the living room floor. From there I moved to Morristown Tennessee where we lived for two and a half years, and my second son was born, until I felt “called” to move to a place in Washington State called Colville up above Spokane near the Canadian border. We lived there for nine years and two more sons were born there in a single wide trailer. On the way to Colville we had a mishap where she drove through some ice pulling a 24 foot travel trailer and it caused the van she was in to be involved in the trailer jackknifing. We had a CB. I was towing a Uhaul behind my work step van and remember her getting on the CB at about 10:00 PM starting to come down a steep slope on I 90 in Idaho screaming….”I’m not going to drive down this mountain with my babies with me pulling this trailer!” I hitched back up from a driver heading up and drove that van down. She’s the kind of woman I wish every man could have for themselves. Full of love for her children and so much for me! A twist in fate in Colville had me move again. This time to a place near Harrison, Arkansas in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. We’ve been here for twenty eight years. Can you tell that I have time to spare? LOL! There is a legend around here in this area about some Indians called by the strangers they were helping, ARKcarria Indians. They allegedly were helping those strange men many years ago carrying a strange item. And they hid it in the OzARK mountains in ARKansas…if it is true and is found the world will be at awe…I left a clue. Think…Raiders of the Lost Ark. https://www.amazon.com/Mystery-Seven-Thunders-Covenant-Arkansas-ebook/dp/B00381B4L2

As GenEarly said, quite a voyage! I’ve just finished your stack on the seven thunders. Interesting stuff. We have our own links to holy lands with tales of Jesus being brought over to England by Joseph of Arimathea.
