I know "everybody loves" the U.S. Constitution. I know "everybody loves" the Bill of Rights, yes? Why...we're the super dupers and we've got the super duperest government ever in the history of the world.
Oh, and we're the exceptional nation with exceptional people -- just because those people were born on or arrived to the "magic dirt."
But have you read that 5th Amendment? The Amendment within the Bill that the "Father of the Constitution," James Madison didn't want to write? Writing in a power...a power of the government scumbags to take a person's private (coughcough) property for "public use." To wit: "...nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."
And who decides the "just compensation" for the loss of property for "public use?" Why, you know. So no crime committed...but property gone cuz it's needed for the "public."
So, we must ask ourselves, with this qualifier written into the 5th Amendment, does private property actually exist in "America" under the U.S. Constitution?
Let’s put it this way…what would you have instead? Yes, it has some obvious flaws, but if it was being FOLLOWED instead of the communist manifesto, we surely would be in better shape than we are. And besides, they still have to go through due process to take property for a road or something. Help me out woman!
Instead? I'd have a recognition of the Natural Law, of Natural Rights.
I'd have a recognition of how the Constitution has subtle, but very important "imperfections" built in.
To wit, the 5th Amendment's taking clause. Or the Commerce Clause. Holy cow, how that has been the means by which our lives have become miseries!
So, CL, let me put it this way: I'd have people venerate their natural rights and freedoms over a piece of paper outlining a government that itself resulted from a coup.
I'd have people venerate the Declaration of Independence and its clear outlining of all that government's insults and violations of the natural rights of Man.
That includes the right, the duty to throw off such government when it becomes destructive of their unalienable rights.
That's what I'd have instead. A basic understanding of natural law, natural rights and their place in the hierarchy of our God-given lives and liberties. Oh, and the freakin' courage to live it. That's what I'd have.
Good luck with your dreams. Government of any sort has never existed like you describe save for a short term with the Israelites before they decided that they just had to have a king that they could see. I'm 72 and pretty much most of my life have been living by natural law. I have never committed any actual crimes where there was a damaged party involved except for a couple of minor retaliations back in my younger years. Unfortunately for US, it isn't going to happen. Too many need someone to pull them by the ring in their noses through life.
I'm sure you have lived by the natural law, CL. Do you need the Constitution to do that? Or Congress? Or the President? Or a governor? Or a legislature?
As for my dreams? I made no assertion about my "dreams." I attempted to help you out, as you requested.
I did so by outlining the basis of my criticism of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Part of that was suggesting veneration for the Declaration instead. It is the heart and soul, IMO, of what it means to be American. Not the Constitution. Not the Bill of Rights. Those are merely alleged limitations on what the power-hungry among can and cannot do as part of the central/national government formed by the Constitution.
You're right about too many seemingly needing that ring in their noses. What the last several years have made clear beyond doubt is my assertion, one I've held for a while now: "Country's got a lotta people in it, but very few Americans."
No, I don’t need anyone telling me what to do because Father wrote His law on my heart. And even though my carnal man is at enmity, I still walk the line you would call natural law. I’ve never killed anyone YET! And I’ve been a good neighbor and will help if I can if someone is in need. I stick by Love God with All your Heart, Mind Body and soul and your neighbor as yourself. And I think of my NEIGHBOR as being those of my culture and race. Not someone who believes that they should have an advantage over me for some unknown reason. I have no idea what your beliefs are when it comes to spiritual but I adhere to the Christian Israelite way of seeing things.
Don't even get me started talking about the cops. And Law enforcement. Corrupt at every level. You would think cops would not automatically assume that anybody that does not immediately comply with their directives is some type of criminal, and that every means must be used to stop and/or arrest them. In the age of flock cameras, where every drug deal is being videotaped, does anybody think they are going to be able to escape except by stripping themselves of everything electronic and finding a car built before 1980 and making a run for the Mexican border? Needless to say, these cops are all psychotic, bullies, and megalomaniacs. They are a Good Ol' Boys club, and the courts continuously excuse their over-the-top decisions and actions. They could really care less that innocents are harmed, and people are maimed for the most trivial of offenses (which usually are not offenses at all). The only thing that matters is that we should be afraid of and mat at them. That is what the Satanists want.
Cops, healthcare, education are all completely corrupt to the core.

"Seeking permission to kill several probable innocents."
"Granted as always."
