Civilization, goes and old maxim, is never more than three meals away from barbarism—once the food deliveries stop, so does law and order. Therefore, the baseline of preparedness is as follows:
Become your own farmer. A garden in every lawn should be standard. You can no longer trust anything from a corporation, so cutting out reliance on a retailer is a good place to start thinking about your resiliency. ‘Incorporated’ City water isn’t viable either for its quality or reliability, so wells must be dug (there is no resource more important in your life than clean water, hands down).
Beyond that, start stitching together webs of alliances with your neighbors for resiliency, defense, and resource sharing (they might grow what you do not and vice versa)—put the “common unity” back in community, and get control of those town councils and school boards. Finally: stop eating, listening to, and watching things that are bad for your mind, body, and spirit, and, if so inclined, spend a good chunk of your time on your knees each day.
I found it interesting that the author starts with "the system is rigged" and then later tells us to vote. I've been voting for more than 50 years, and things have got progressively worse. Those we vote for are owned by the rich and powerful. Calling your representatives in Congress is a waste of time. One of my senators is the largest recipient of Big Pharma handouts. Do you think he will vote to confirm Robert Kennedy?
I'm too old to do much more than ride out the storm. I still do a small garden and support my local farmer. Trying not to spend money with those who hold the keys is difficult, as those who hold the keys now own almost every avenue, directly or indirectly.
I have spent the last 20 years trying to wake up the asleep. I doubt that one person opened their eyes to reality. People only wake up on their own; usually when it becomes too painful to remain asleep.
To say that I'm cynical and disheartened is an understatement. All I can do is trudge on and not comply as much as possible. And pray.
Hi Nancy…thank you. I missed that. Yes, that isn’t a way to change the system. Voting is rigged too. It has been for a long time. The way to change it is to REFUSE to vote. Voting gives actual consent. And in many cases voting is giving ok to VIOLENCE by making something a “law” that can have consequences for violators. I love how my neighbors…51% of them can vote for more theft from me for their government indoctrination centers and justify it with their convoluted sense of morality. After all stealing from me with a gun is wrong if you do it personally but it’s OK if the sheriff does it. I’ll have to make a comment about that to Adam because you are surely correct. There is a direct link to the article that you can use and do so also. I do need to add this...if you VOTE, vote AGAINST anything that steals from your neighbor. Most likely any candidate has ego issues so ignore them. But if there is on the ballot some sort of "tax" increase, VOTE AGAINST IT ALWAYS. Otherwise it is just empowering THEFT.
I have said this as well, that people need to stay home & not vote & demand better. I quit voting many years ago. Voting is just a giant poll that allows the slave masters to gauge the mindset of the slaves. After all, it is called a polling station. The masters decide who gets selected. Not us.
Well, yes, of course. The system is rigged. This is not a new news event. So Adam did get that right. After that, he goes right off the proverbial rails. That, too, is not unexpected. For example, can someone please 'splain me how Internet access is a 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕? That tells me Adam hasn't a clue what a 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 actually is.
And therein lies the rub...so often with so many and all to our detriment.
You, CL, of course nail one of the primary means for the power that Adams laments -- control of the currency. For, of course, we have not used money in this country for decades...He does call for a "living wage," which again reveals a tendency toward collectivism. Not unexpected. It also reveals ignorance of how the money cartel has destroyed actual money so that making a living becomes harder and harder.
As you say, Adam is on the right track. Perhaps better stated is that his sentiment is understood. He is right -- something is really wrong -- but disagree with his "fixes" or that it is fixable. I'm with Nietzsche on this one: "When something is about to fall, it deserves to be pushed."
I should make my response a bit longer as you and I both noted the same thing. We only have NATURAL rights and obviously the internet isn’t one of them. Life, liberty and the lawful pursuit of property or happiness are rights. A home isn’t a right. The word says if you don’t work you shouldn’t eat. That in itself says a lot. I’ll add to the comment at the beginning.
I often refer to natural rights or the Natural Law -- to which my husband responds, "Kathleen, most people have no idea what you're talking about."
In the country founded upon them, their multiple violations declared long ago for a "candid world," it astounds me that this could be the case. Yet it is, and we have evidence for it every day. Most people have no idea what the heck you or I are talkin' about when we refer to natural rights or the Natural Law.
P.S. Your point about working and eating? Exactly right, but that which is made increasingly harder and harder for so many in a world financed by phonies and their phony "money."
No argument from me. I just watched a video talking about “paper water” in California where the water is traded on some sort of criminal exchange and that if the “paper water” notes were to be called in that they are BILLIONS of gallons short of the actual water available. INSANITY run the assylum.
All we need to do is make Capital Gains and the Income tax the same percentage. The advantage of waiting greater than 12 months is a lower rate but you have to be able to afford living expenses over that period. The wealthy will always drive innovation and change but do not deserve preferential treatment.

We all must ask the government to repeal the license given to the Federal reserve to issue our currency.
1- That would make all new moneys not loans from the Feds
2- That will eliminate the interest we pay on these loans.
3- W should also cancel our past debts to the Feds .
WE THE PEOPLE
I hope we all can do this task
All Stockmarkets should be closed ... think about it!
