I don't vote either. But I'm registered for one purpose...to get picked for jury duty. It's the ONLY real vote that will ever count. They don't want people like you or I on juries and you make it impossible for yourself to be on one where you could be a great help.
That makes sense, although I have chosen to not use the "number" or carry their ID and I live off the grid and under the radar for my own protection so I have to pass on that. It is my understanding that if you are not careful and they learn you are awake you are not likely to be selected for the jury. I would dearly love to be there to "judge the law" as well as the facts, but I also don't like the system as it is. I would like a voluntary jury rather than a conscripted one, and a court that is not ruled so often by petty tyrants with black robes.
